Mavia B.V., based in Amsterdam (“Marvia”, “we”,”us”, and “our”) is a technology company. Marvia provides brand management and local store marketing software as a service. The “Website” means Marvia’s website (including without limitation www.getmarvia.com, support.getmarvia.com and any successor URLs, mobile or localized versions, and related domains and subdomains), and the “Services” means Marvia’s products, applications, and services, in each case in whatever format they may be offered now or in the future. As you use the Services, we collect and process information from and about you in order to provide you with access to the Services, enhance your experience while using the Service, and communicate with you. Marvia cares about Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy fully applies and respects the highest protection standards set by the European Union General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") in force since May 25, 2018, that regulates the processing of personal data of natural persons. The geographical scope of the application of the GDPR is very broad. The provisions of the GDPR apply, on the one hand within the territory of the EU and, on the other hand to all Controllers and Processors which process the personal data of EU citizens (even if they live outside the EU). Accordingly, the GDPR also applies to companies not established in the territory of the EU.

We might also process Personal Data outside the territory of the European Union. Marvia guarantees that Personal Data transferred outside the EU is handled by trustworthy vendors. Vendors are examined regularly and Marvia signs individual Data Processing Agreement to ensure the highest attainable standards of protection.

Personal Data we Collect

We process the personal data that you provide to us via the website, for example when you fill in the contact form or when you subscribe to our newsletter. These include:

General Individual information: In order to register to our Services, to show interest in getting more insights about our Product, to receive our newsletter, and in general, to be reached out to for marketing purposes, current and future perspective users of Marvia upon prior explicit consent may provide Personal Data in the form of their email address, name and surname, name of the company, job title, or similar.

Browser Data: We may collect standard website visitor information supplied by your browser (e.g., your operating system, the browser you are using, IP addresses, language settings). This information is dependent on the type of device, browser, and the settings you are using.

Other Usage Statistics: Besides browser data, we may collect statistics, usage information, and may record user sessions on how registered users use our Services in order to maintain and improve our Services. This usage data is collected anonymously, and it does not include User Data as described above.

Marketing: We might use the information collected for our own marketing purposes. This includes, but is not limited to: marketing campaigns, marketing events, and newsletters. This information will be used solely for marketing purposes by Marvia and we will not share it with any third parties.

Personal Data of Job Applicants: If you apply for a vacancy at Marvia, we will collect and process information that you voluntarily communicate to us about yourself for purposes related to potential employment. Additionally, we may collect publicly available information (e.g., your LinkedIn profile). You can request access, correction, or deletion of job applicant information about you at any time using the contact details below.

How we use your Personal Data

We collect Personal Data for the following purposes:

To communicate with you about our services and provide you with customer support

We use your contact information to communicate with you about the Services, respond to your customer support questions and requests, and to provide you notices regarding the Services (including notices about your account, product update announcements, security alerts, administrative notifications, and the like).

In connection with providing you with customer support, we may also use the information we automatically collect and information that you provide to us and consent for us to view and utilize as part of a support request so that we can respond to your request, analyze information related to your support request, and repair or improve the Services.

For research and development to improve our service

So that we can continually improve the functionality of our Services, we utilize our collective learnings about the way users interact with and use the Services, as well as feedback provided directly to us, to troubleshoot issues, fix bugs, enhance functionality, and identify areas for integration and improvement of the Services.

To market and promote our services

We use your contact information and information about how you use the Services to communicate directly with you, including by sending you newsletters, promotions or information about current and future products and services. You may opt out of receiving such communications at any time by (i) clicking the unsubscribe link included in all the emails you receive or (ii) contacting us as indicated in the contact section below.

For Safety and Security

We use information about you and the way in which you use the Services to verify and authenticate accounts and activity, monitor for suspicious or fraudulent activity and identify violations of our Services policies.

With your Consent

We use Personal Data about you where you have given us consent to do so for a specific purpose not listed above. For example, with your permission, we may publish testimonials or featured customer stories on our Websites to promote the Services, including names and profile photos of representatives of our customers alongside the testimonial.

How we share your Personal Data.

Marvia does not sell your information to third parties and will only provide it if this is necessary for the execution of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation.

With companies that process your data in our assignment, we conclude a data processing agreement to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. Marvia remains responsible for these processing operations.

Data Retention

Marvia generally retains your Personal Data for a period of time consistent with the original purpose of collection. The retention period depends on the purpose for which the personal data is used. After your personal data is no longer necessary, it will be anonymized or deleted.
