Our History

  • 2020 - Launch Video Editor

    Marvia releases a video editor to create dynamic branded video content. 

  • 2020 - The New Marvia

    All clients are now migrated to the new framework. With improved features and a fresh, easy-to-use UI, the next chapter for Marvia began. This chapter also includes a much-needed rebrand making Marvia ready for the future. 

  • 2019 - Best MarTech Companies

    Marvia is listed in the top 10 MarTech companies of CIO Applications Europe. This list guides organisational leaders in harnessing the power of technology to tackle today’s marketing challenges.

  • 2018 - Take Back Control
    Marvia's Joep Donders (CEO) and Merlijn Bruijnes (CTO) have ambitious plans for the future for Marvia. After a management buy out, they set out the course to become Europe's number one platform for activating the local marketing potential for brands
  • 2016 - Launch of Brand Guidelines

    Marvia launches brand guidelines to tell the story of the brand and direct users to the correct resources for a consistent brand experience. 

  • 2014 - Acquisition

    Marvia is acquired by PostNL, the largest postal delivery company in the Netherlands, which is also active in Germany, Italy, Belgium and the United Kingdom.

  • 2013 - Introduction of DAM

    Marvia introduces its Digital Asset Management system focused on enabling its existing user base to centrally store and distribute brand asset.

  • 2011 - Rising Star

    Marvia is nominated for the Rising Star award which is part of the Deloitte Technology Fast 50, a list of the fastest-growing technology companies. 

  • 2007 - Early Beginnings

    Founded in 2007 in Amsterdam by Steven van Wel, Jons Janssens en Arnoud Haverlag. Our founders wanted to ease the DTP process and developed a web-to-print application.
