We believe that local marketing makes companies more successful. With our all-in-one platform, the local franchiser of a pizza chain or the regional team of an international fashion brand can now set up professional campaigns all by themselves. From posters in bus shelters to on-brand social media material, companies arrange everything via a central portal containing: branded templates, digital asset management and digital brand guidelines. Its use offers many advantages. As a brand, for example, you become more relevant, more personal, and respond better to the local customer's needs. Not to mention brand consistency, lightning-fast speed-to-market and cost savings.
We stormed the market in 2007 as a web-to-print application to simplify the DTP process. We quickly found our way to the Deloitte Technology Fast 50's Rising Star award nomination list and were acquired by PostNL in 2014. In the meantime, we have developed considerably into the current all-in-one platform. Since the management buyout in 2018, Joep Donders (CEO) and Merlijn Bruijnes (CTO) have run Marvia with one goal in mind: to become Europe's # 1 local marketing platform for brands.
Today, we have a turnover of millions, and we serve about 80,000 users worldwide, including KPN, Domino's Pizza, PostNL, Toyota and Duux. Besides, we started a new chapter in 2020. The platform has been completely redesigned and built with improved and new features, such as an editor for producing branded video content. At the moment, the platform is being prepared for the next highlight, namely: the switch from PHP / Symfony to GraphQL / React.
The Development team works in agile sprints of three weeks. In the first two weeks, work is carried out according to the schedule, and in the third week, the built software is reviewed, and the final touches are applied. Each Developer spends the time that remains on personal development, research and experimentation. Marvia wants to stay at the forefront, so at the end of the sprint, everyone presents potentially interesting concepts during the "Academy." In this way, everyone can leave a personal stamp on the product.
We are looking for
Relevant bachelor degree (IT oriented);
You have at least 5 years of experience in building web applications;
You have a strong personality and ambition to manage the team in the future;
A programming assignment is part of our hiring process.
